Soon after obtaining her real estate license in 2003, Gysenia Gonzalez purchased her first home. “I didn’t just want to become a homeowner; I wanted to understand the entire process,” she explains. “My experience has helped me to put myself in my clients’ shoes.” That home was at her first brokerage and her mentor’s listing, which also helped her learn the selling side of the transaction. “It is one of the first things I did that definitely set the tone for my career in real estate,” she adds.
The broker-owner of GG International Realty, Gonzalez always had a passion for helping people. “I wanted to be a part of the most important decisions people make, and real estate is at the top of that list,” she says. “Whether it’s selling, buying or investing, choosing the right Realtor can make a huge difference.” Known for her professionalism, she notes that she has an old-fashioned approach, preferring to call and actually speak to clients, rather than texting with them.
By being patient and listening to her clients’ needs, Gonzalez works hard to meet expectations. “My experience as not just a Realtor, but a broker-owner, helps me identify benefits or point out problems that will give my clients insight,” she says. “I love building everlasting relationships, because that is what life is all about.”
A supporter of Autism Speaks and the Parent Teacher Students Association, Gonzalez recognized she was stronger and more resilient than she realized this past year when she handled being a single mother to her teenage daughter while caring for her severely autistic adult son and continuing to work. Known to many as the “Fit Real Estate Mom,” she trains at least five times a week and lives a healthy lifestyle, insisting, “Taking care of myself physically is taking care of myself mentally.”
